Ship Of Fools

Inspired by a painting by the Dutch painter Jheronimus (Hieronymous) Bosch (Jeroen Bosch, 1450 – 1516) called Ship of Fools (Het Narrenschip). The overall image is of a group of fools adrift in the sea of life, eating and drinking to excess. They are without morals and rudderless despite the church being on board. They all are lacking direction in life and oblivious to the men overboard. If you’re not familiar with the works of Bosch, by all means go and check some of his work out. In a way this guy was painting metal albums covers five centuries before metal even was invented. Devils, demons and monsters galore!
